SE Tylose research & development for cellulose ethers is of a long tradition at the Wiesbaden site. In 1935, for the first time world-wide cellulose ethers under the registered trademark Tylose® were commercially produced on the basis of the patents from O. Ernst and K. Sponsel (German patent No. 522575) in Wiesbaden.
All processes and technologies of producing and applying cellulose ethers are covered by the research and application technology laboratories and the pilot plant. In January 2004, for example, a new plant for machine plaster application was put into operation.
With the help of our experienced and highly qualified staff in research & development we aim to develop individual solutions for our customers. Our core capabilities are the development of solutions for building materials, coating materials, polymerization and other special applications.
Apart from developing new products, our research teams are continuously working on enhancing the existing production processes.
