Basic Principles

Cellulose ethers are derivatives of the natural material cellulose (pulp) and are used in various ways as additives to refine different products. For example, etherified cellulose acts as water retaining agent, thickener, binder and dispersing agent, as protective colloid and stabilizer, as suspension aid, emulsifier and film-forming agent. SE Tylose produces a variety of different cellulose ethers for the different fields of application and sells them under the registered trademark Tylose®.
