Tylose® is a white or slightly yellowish solid, which is offered as free flowing powder or in granular form. Tylose is odorless and tasteless and contains up to 10% of moisture and small amounts of salts (both of which are residues from the production process). Tylose may contain further additives which for example control the dissolution behaviour as well as the dispersion process of Tylose. Some additives may also control the development of viscosity. Depending on the type of application, Tylose is available as “non-modified” or “modified” grades.
