Waterborne paints, in the following referred to as paints, belong to the coating materials. They are mainly used for the protective and decorative coating of interior walls and ceilings but also for exterior applications.
Especially paints with a high pigment volume concentration (PVC) owe their good processing properties to Tylose®. The pigment volume concentration describes the proportion of pigment and filler with respect to the total volume of the dried film.
Classifying the fields of application for Tylose in paints can either be done according to the pigment volume concentration, or - according to DIN EN 13300 - on the basis of the binder used. The following fields of application are described here:
The choice of Tylose-types depends on the application and the requirements such as gloss, spattering, flow, hiding power or pigment compatibility. The most commonly used types are: Tylose MH, Tylose H and Tylose HS.
A classification according to the application can be found in the product overview.
